Ann Liu Cannon is playing Sound Knowledge to launch her debut EP, ‘Chalk’

‘Chalk’ takes its theme from Wiltshire’s ridgeway, and a chalk valley where Ann grew up. This is Ann’s area.

Originally from Ogbourne St George, Ann went to St John’s and plays in this area regularly, and now elsewhere in the world since signing for BMG. You may well have seen Ann performing at The Parade Festival last year.

‘Chalk’ was inspired by Ann’s late father, drawing from his teachings of the life cycle of chalk – a stone made up of fossilised remains, creating the land in which her community lives.
