This year Small Business Saturday is on Saturday, December 2 and to encourage the public to use their local small businesses more, the Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership is running a free prize draw with some substantial prizes.
All participating businesses will be provided with a stock of Free Prize Draw vouchers which they can offer to their customers between Saturday, November 18 and Saturday, December 2 for entry to the draw.
Customers can enter the draw whenever they spend with a participating business during the fortnight. Information about participating businesses will be available on the Visit Pewsey Vale website.
The prizes are:
• a meal for two people including a bottle of house wine at The Seven Stars Inn, Bottlesford
• a limited edition print from leading contemporary art gallery The McNeil Gallery in Pewsey
• a bespoke, half-day guided tour of the prehistoric sites around Avebury with Oldbury Tours
• a luxury hamper from Marr Green Farm Shop in Burbage.
The more local businesses that take part, the more enticing the campaign is to people who are going out to shop, eat or drink to draw them into the Pewsey Vale and surrounding areas.
Susie Brew, Coordinator for the Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership, said, “This is the third year we have run this campaign and are looking forward to an even bigger take up this year. We believe this campaign will raise the public’s awareness of what is on their doorstep, as well as getting people into the habit of using their local shops, pubs and other businesses after the December 2.”
“We urge all local small businesses to get involved and make the most of this free campaign. Full terms and conditions for this free prize draw can be found on our website.”
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. It takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.
