Welcome to Marlborough Youth Football Club
On Sunday 22 April, in front of a packed crowd at Marlborough Town’s first team pitch, MYFC U18's hosted red hot favourites Chippenham Town U18's in the semi final of the Wiltshire Youth Cup. Most of the Chippenham squad attend the Pulse Academy which specialises in football development for already talented 16-19 year olds, playing a high level of football.
Marlborough Youth U18's claimed a semi-final place in the Wiltshire Youth Cup on Sunday in a tense and exciting quarter final away at Warminster. 4-1 down after 35 minutes it looked like the Marlborough lads would suffer their first defeat of the season.
On Friday last week (20 October) Lisa Wakeman (back row, 3rd from right) of Watrose presented Geoff Pratt (back row far right) of Marlborough Youth Football Club (MYFC) with a cheque for £357 - from the Waitrose Community Support Green Token scheme.
Announcement - from Stuart Slater - Chair of Marlborough Youth Football Club
I am privileged to announce that MYFC now have, would you believe it, THREE HUNDRED registered players...!
Quite unbelievable. From 20-30 players in 2009, to where we are now. It has not been our mission to recruit higher and higher numbers for the sake of it, instead we have simply responded and tried to resource/accommodate the continuous stream of players who wish to play in mighty Orange! It tells me we must be doing something right.
A remarkable milestone, of which I am personally very proud indeed.
Again therefore, a THANK YOU to all coaches, helpers, sponsors, exec, the committee, everyone associated with the club, and especially the players! Here's to another great season ahead.... unbelievable!
(PS - we need volunteers now more than ever!)

Following a successful season the Player of The Year awards were announced on 13th July 2017. Whereas in previous years there had only been one Player of The Year award, this year there were two - one for The Player of The Year as voted for by parents and public , and the other as voted by coaching staff of MYFC.

A number of girls from the Angels section of MYFC, took part in Wiltshire County Trials over the summer, and this pays testament to the hard work that Becky Knox and John Whitehead have put into growing this group over the last year or so. MYFC is fast becoming a magnet for aspiring girl footballers from Marlborough and the surrounding areas, with players now travelling from as far away as Swindon, to participate in the sessions and matches.
‘Walking back to happiness’ for the over fifties when Walking Football arrives in Marlborough in a couple of weeks
’Walking back to happiness’ could be exactly what Walking Football now offers many of those who were around when Helen Shapiro hit the top of the charts back in the early sixties.

Since their inception in 2009, Marlborough Youth Football Club have gone from strength to strength.
