Angels' Mascots Hattie and Georgia at the MadjeskiAngels' Mascots Hattie and Georgia at the MadjeskiOn Saturday 13th May, two coach loads full of 140 players, parents, siblings and coaches made the trip to Madjeski Stadium to see Reading FC Ladies take on Liverpool FC.

Reading FC were not only kind enough to make the trip more affordable, but also included the opportunity for two Angels to become mascots for the day and walk out onto the pitch with the team!! They were even lucky enough to be given a full Reading strip.....

Instead of randomly selecting, The Angels Management team of Becky Knox and John Whitehead decided that the girls should be challenged to design a MYFC Angels mascot!  There were so many great entries it was tough to select, but the winners were Hattie and Georgia.  Excellent ideas, drawings and colouring!

Everyone had a great day, in what is fast becoming an annual favourite, allowing the girls to see what they can aspire to become.  On the day, Reading convincingly beat Liverpool 3-0 & after the match many of the players remained to sign autographs and for photo opportunities.

MYFC Chairman Stu Slater said: "More relentlessly positive news from our MYFC Angels! A fantastic experience for the girls, to be so closely involved with a professional match, in such numbers too. I am delighted and very grateful to Becky and John for doing such a fantastic job developing our provision for girl footballers.  These experiences will be fondly remembered by the players and will help with further success and motivation".
