The Parade Cinema - progress reportWork on converting the former Chapel into The Parade Cinema is now scheduled to start at the beginning of August.
This work is covered by the existing planning approval. But a new planning application as been lodged with Wiltshire Council following the purchase of No. 2 The Manse - which shares a wall with the Chapel - to become part of the cinema and arts centre.
This means there is now no need to build a two storey extension to the north of the Chapel and so there will be less alteration to the listed structure.
The Manse will be used to provide a café and bar for the cinema - as well as a kitchen, toilets and an office.
The new planning application papers are at 19/04068/FUL
The consultation period for this new application runs to 13 June and a decision is due on 19 June. It is still expected The Parade Cinema will be showing films by Christmas.
